Tips and Care

Tips for trees

  • Put your tree in water as soon as possible. If it will not be going into a tree stand immediately, stand the tree in a bucket of water
  • If it has been more then one hour since your tree was cut, you will need to re-cut the end before putting into the water. The new cut can be as little as 1/4in to 1/2in.
  • For the first few days, the tree will soak up between 2 and 5 gallons of water. No additives are necessary, just plenty of fresh water. Be sure to keep the water well of the tree stand full until you are ready to dispose of your tree.
  • Never put your trees near the fireplace, next to or on top of a heat vent, or close to a wood-burning stove or kerosene heater!
  • Do not let your tree touch the curtains, any furniture or any other flammable item such as blankets, pillows, etc.
